TANGMARG, Sept. 12 -- A 25-year-old youth died after falling from a walnut tree in the Barzulla area of Kunzer in north Kashmir's Baramulla district.

The deceased was identified as Aamir Hameed Rather, son of Abdul Hameed Rather, a resident of Barzulla, Kunzer.

According to reports, the youth was plucking walnuts from a tree when he reportedly lost his balance and fell to the ground, sustaining critical injuries.

He was immediately shifted to JVC Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The death triggered scenes of grief in the area, with mourners thronging the bereaved family's residence after the body was brought home.
