SRINAGAR, Sept. 7 -- A delegation of UNICEF India on Monday called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and discussed strengthening collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir government in areas related to child-focused development and welfare.

The delegation included UNICEF India Deputy Representative (Programme) Jesper Moller, Child Protection Specialist Sharmila Ray and J&K Outpost Coordinator Hilal Ahmad Bhat.

According to an official statement, discussions centred on child protection, prevention of violence and exploitation, juvenile justice, family-based care, adolescent welfare and strengthening service-delivery systems for vulnerable children.
