SRINAGAR, Sept. 12 -- Two persons, including a woman, were injured in separate bear attacks reported from Shopian and Pulwama districts of south Kashmir on Friday.
A 40-year-old man was injured after being attacked by a wild bear in an apple orchard in the Sedow area of Shopian district.
Officials said the victim, identified as Sadiq Ahmad Thokar (40), son of Abdul Rahman and a resident of Sedow, was attacked while in the orchard. He was shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Shopian for treatment.
In a separate incident, a woman sustained injuries after a bear attack in the Handoora area of Tral in Pulwama district.
