Srinagar, Aug. 25 -- Secretary, Transport Department, Avny Lavasa on Monday reviewed the functioning of the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) in Kashmir Division, with a focus on service delivery, pendency clearance and enforcement measures.
During a meeting at the Civil Secretariat, Lavasa held detailed discussions with the Transport Commissioner, Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Kashmir, Assistant Regional Transport Officers (ARTOs) and other field officials on the department's performance and key operational issues.
She stressed the need for timely disposal of pending cases, efficient delivery of citizen-centric services, stronger field-level enforcement and greater transparency and accountability in departmental functioning.
