Srinagar, April 9 -- The Traffic Police on Wednesday announced a temporary traffic diversion on Ali-Jan Road Srinagar's Soura to facilitate ongoing sewerage system work, officials said here.
SSP Traffic Ajaz Ahmad Bhat told Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that one lane from Ali-Jan Road to Aali Masjid will remain closed until the completion of the project, expected to take at least five days.
"The UED department is currently digging the road from Ali-Jan Road to Aali Masjid to lay a new sewerage pipe. During this period, two-way traffic will not be possible on that section," SSP Bhat said.
He also advised commuters that starting tomorrow, vehicles traveling from Karan Nagar to Ali-Jan Road will be diverted via Soura. "They will have to take...
