Srinagar, Sept. 7 -- Three persons were killed and at least 10 others injured in separate road accidents reported from Anantnag, Baramulla, Kathua and Poonch districts on Sunday.

In south Kashmir's Anantnag district, a 36-year-old pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run incident near Fisheries Kokernag. Officials said an unidentified vehicle struck Tariq Ahmad Kalas, son of Mohammad Shareef Kalas of Shalnard, Lisser, Kokernag, late Saturday night and fled the scene.

The injured man was shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Kokernag, where doctors declared him brought dead. Police have registered a case and launched efforts to trace the vehicle involved. (GNS)
