Jammu, Aug. 13 -- Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shri Mukund Tibrewal on Wednesday reviewed security arrangements and operational preparedness in Reasi district's Pouni sub-division ahead of the annual Budha Amarnath Yatra, officials said.
The Budha Amarnath yatra, commencing on August 16 from Jammu, will pass through the Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch axis, with security agencies undertaking extensive measures to ensure the safety of pilgrims and maintain smooth movement along the route
The SSP, who chaired a high-level meeting, directed officers to maintain heightened vigilance, intensify area domination and ensure foolproof security arrangements for the safety of pilgrims throughout the pilgrimage, officials said.
