SRINAGAR, Sept. 16 -- Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather on Tuesday reviewed preparations for the forthcoming Autumn Session of the Assembly and directed departments to ensure all arrangements are put in place before the session begins on September 21 in Srinagar.

At a meeting attended by senior civil and police officials, Rather stressed the need for coordination and advance planning for the smooth conduct of the session.

The Speaker reviewed security, legislative, transport, traffic and civic arrangements and directed authorities to ensure comprehensive security measures at the Assembly Secretariat and MLA Hostel.
