Srinagar, July 11 -- Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Abdul Rahim Rather on Friday inaugurated newly installed lifts and renovated facilities at the new hostel block of the MLA Hostel in Srinagar.

According to an official statement, the works were undertaken to upgrade infrastructure and improve facilities for Members of the Legislative Assembly by enhancing convenience, accessibility and overall comfort.

Speaking on the occasion, Rather said the MLA Hostel was an important facility for legislators and stressed the need for its regular maintenance and modernisation.
