Budgam, May 21 -- Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Abdul Rahim Rather on Wednesday inaugurated a newly constructed double-lane bridge at Chowdrigund on Nallah Apzari in Chadoora area of Budgam district.
The 25-metre-long bridge with a total width of 11.70 metres has been constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.474.65 lakh.
Officials said the bridge is expected to improve local connectivity, reduce travel time and facilitate easier access to essential services for residents of the area.
Addressing the gathering, the speaker said that a strong connectivity network is essential for sustainable and balanced regional development.
