SRINAGAR, Nov. 6 -- The Lok Sabha Speaker has accepted the resignation of Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi as Member of Parliament from the Srinagar parliamentary constituency, with effect from November 3, 2026.

According to a notification issued by the Lok Sabha Secretariat, Mehdi, an elected member from Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir, has resigned his Lok Sabha seat.

With the acceptance of his resignation, the Srinagar parliamentary seat has fallen vacant.
