SRINAGAR, Sept. 23 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday seized six commercial passenger vehicles and registered a case against another vehicle during a crackdown on alleged overcharging and harassment of tourists in Tangmarg area of Baramulla district.
According to police, the special enforcement drive was launched within the jurisdiction of Police Station Tangmarg following complaints against commercial vehicles, including Sumos and auto-rickshaws, accused of overcharging and harassing tourists and visitors.
During the operation, six vehicles were found violating provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act and were subsequently seized, police said.
