Srinagar, April 13 -- The Directorate of School Education Kashmir on Monday placed Ghulam Hassan Mir, Senior Lecturer of Urdu at Government Higher Secondary School Sopore, under suspension with immediate effect pending an inquiry into his conduct.

According to an official order, issued under reference number CEO/Bla/IMW/F-948/8995-98, the suspension will remain in force until the completion of the inquiry. A copy of the order has been made available to the media.

Following the suspension, Mir has been attached to Boys Higher Secondary School Badugam in the remote Gurez Valley of Bandipora for the duration of the suspension.
