Srinagar, Sept. 25 -- Peer Ki Gali along the Mughal Road received the season's first snowfall on Thursday, while rain was reported from several parts of Jammu and Kashmir, bringing a change in weather conditions after a prolonged dry spell.

According to officials, light snowfall occurred in the higher reaches of the Pir Panjal range, including Peer Ki Gali, marking the first snowfall of the season in the area.

The rainfall was recorded in several parts of the Union Territory during the day.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast mainly dry weather across Jammu and Kashmir over the next two days and has not issued any weather warning for September 25 and 26.
