Dubai, March 19 -- Saudi Arabia on Wednesday officially announced that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on March 20, 2026, after the Shawwal crescent moon was not sighted.
The moon-sighting committee convened to observe the crescent but confirmed that it was not visible, completing 30 days of Ramadan in accordance with Islamic tradition, which determines the beginning of a new month through lunar observation.
With the announcement, March 19 will be observed as the final day of Ramadan, and Eid-ul-Fitr will commence the following day.
