SRINAGAR, June 16 -- Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Information Technology, Youth Services and Sports, and Science and Technology, Satish Sharma on Tuesday conducted an extensive tour of several areas of Srinagar to review preparations for the forthcoming Muharram observances and directed officials to ensure timely completion of all essential works.

The minister was accompanied by MLA Tanvir Sadiq, senior officers of the district administration and officials from various line departments.
