Kulgam, Nov. 8 -- Minister for Health and Medical Education and Social Welfare Sakeena Itoo on Sunday distributed relief cheques worth Rs 10.54 lakh among 12 families affected by recent fire incidents in Bangiward and Watoo areas of Kulgam district.

The minister distributed the cheques during a public darbar at Tangmarg village, where she heard grievances and developmental demands raised by residents of the village and adjoining areas.

The deputations raised issues concerning basic amenities, public infrastructure, welfare measures and development requirements. Itoo assured them that genuine grievances would be examined and addressed in coordination with the concerned departments.
