Srinagar, July 28 -- Education Minister Sakeena Itoo on Monday announced the construction of a new academic-cum-library block at Government Degree College (Women), Zakura, at an estimated cost of Rs.5.29 crore.
The announcement was made during her visit to the college, where she reviewed its academic and infrastructure requirements and held discussions with the college administration on future development plans.
Accompanied by Hazratbal MLA Salman Ali Sagar, Director Colleges Prof. (Dr.) Sheikh Ajaz Bashir and senior officials of the Higher Education Department and other line departments, the Minister said the new facility would strengthen the institution's infrastructure and help meet the growing academic needs of students.
