BUDGAM, May 9 -- Srinagar Member of Parliament Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi on Thursday conducted an extensive tour of breach sites in Sumerbugh and Shalina areas of Budgam to assess the damage caused by recent fluctuations in water levels and review restoration and flood safety measures.
During the visit, the MP inspected locations where embankments along the Jhelum River and its flood spill channels had developed breaches.
Local delegations also met the MP and apprised him of their demands and concerns.
