Rs.5.78 crore approved for restoration of historic Lah Wali Bowli in Rajouri
Srinagar, Aug. 12 -- The Jammu and Kashmir government has approved Rs.5.78 crore for the restoration and preservation of the historic Lah Wali Bowli in Rajouri.
The conservation project will cover restoration of the stepwell and its architectural features while retaining its historical and cultural character. The government said the work is also intended to improve the site's tourism potential and develop it as a heritage attraction.
The approval is part of a series of heritage conservation projects undertaken by the government across Jammu and Kashmir.
