Srinagar, Oct. 9 -- The push for rooftop solar installations and the solarisation of government buildings in Jammu and Kashmir has reached a crucial juncture. With more than half of the residential target already achieved and thousands of government buildings equipped with solar systems, the region is demonstrating commendable progress in aligning with national renewable energy goals. Yet, the challenges flagged during the latest review meeting underline the fragility of this momentum. Financing hurdles, vendor distribution gaps, and delays in metering and project execution risk slowing down what could otherwise be a transformative energy transition.
