Srinagar, April 27 -- President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Farooq Abdullah on Monday reiterated that restoration of Article 370 remains the party's central political agenda.

Addressing a gathering in Budgam, Abdullah said the party's foundation rests on the sacrifices of its cadre and the martyrs of Kashmir, who, he said, laid down their lives for dignity, self-respect and freedom from oppression.

Highlighting the party's historical role, he said the first democratically elected government led by the National Conference introduced landmark reforms, particularly under the leadership of Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah.
