SRINAGAR, Oct. 14 -- Rain and fresh snowfall in higher reaches brought a sharp chill to Kashmir on Tuesday, with snowfall reported in Gulmarg, Gurez, Razdan Pass and other mountainous areas as the Meteorological Department forecast more wet weather over the next two days.

Gurez Valley, Razdan Pass in Bandipora, higher reaches of Wussan near Harmukh Peak in Ganderbal, Affarwat Peak in Gulmarg, Zojila Pass, Sadhna Top and Sinthan Top witnessed snowfall, while rain and gusty winds swept across the plains.
