Pulwama, March 1 -- Police in Pulwama carried out a major night-long crackdown against illegal mining across multiple areas of the district, seizing 17 vehicles and heavy machines allegedly involved in unlawful extraction and transportation of minerals.
Acting on specific inputs, police teams launched coordinated raids in Rahmoo, Parigam, Rabitar, Nowpora, Wampora, Dairy Farm Pulwama and Lasipora. During the operation, officials seized seven dumpers, five tippers, four JCB excavators and one LNT machine in two separate actions.
