JAMMU, Aug. 11 -- Prabhakar Jha, Chief General Manager of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), on Monday assumed charge as Regional Director of RBI for the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

Prior to his posting in Jammu, Jha was serving as Regional Director of RBI's Panaji office.

He succeeds Chandrashekhar Azad, who has been transferred to the RBI Central Office in Mumbai.
