Srinagar, April 24 -- Education is one of the most important pillars for the development of any society. A strong and efficient education system helps create knowledge, awareness and responsible citizens who contribute to nation-building. To enhance the quality of school education and make it consistent with the vision of modern learning, the Government of India introduced the PM SHRI Scheme (Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India) in September 2022. The scheme is directly connected to the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which is supposed to introduce major changes in the education sector nationwide.
