PIB, NCB hold awareness programme on 'Drug-Free India' roadmap
SRINAGAR, Sept. 16 -- The Press Information Bureau (PIB), Srinagar, in collaboration with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), on Wednesday organised a media interaction programme to highlight the Government of India's Vision Document 2026-29 aimed at achieving a "Drug-Free India" by 2029.
The programme, titled Vartalap, focused on creating awareness about the anti-drug strategy unveiled by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in June this year and discussed measures being adopted to tackle drug trafficking and substance abuse.
Addressing the session, officials said the three-year roadmap envisages a coordinated approach to reducing drug supply, curbing demand and strengthening rehabilitation efforts. The strategy is built around four pillars-i...
