Srinagar, April 30 -- The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Wednesday ordered a major reshuffle in the administration, transferring and posting over 170 Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers across departments with immediate effect.

According to Government Order No. 855-JK(GAD) of 2026 issued by the General Administration Department, the changes were carried out in the interest of the administration.

Several senior officers have been assigned key positions. Asif Hamid Khan has been posted as Secretary, Jal Shakti Department, while Smita Sethi has been appointed Managing Director of the J&K Housing Board.
