Srinagar, Aug. 22 -- The Jammu and Kashmir government will notify Model Recruitment Rules (MRRs) for the non-gazetted cadre in all Government Medical Colleges (GMCs) by September 30, Health and Medical Education Minister Sakeena Itoo said on Friday.

The announcement was made during a review meeting at the Civil Secretariat held against the backdrop of protests by employees of newly established GMCs over the absence of recruitment rules and service provisions.

The meeting was attended by senior officials of the Health and Medical Education Department and the Administrative Reforms, Inspections and Trainings (ARI & Trainings) Department, along with representatives of employees from GMC Anantnag and GMC Baramulla.
