Srinagar, July 14 -- The National Medical Commission (NMC) has approved an increase of 50 MBBS seats at Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu, raising its annual intake from 200 to 250 students from the 2026-27 academic session.

According to an official statement, the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) of the NMC has issued a Letter of Permission approving the additional seats.

The approval comes days after the NMC sanctioned 50 additional MBBS seats for Government Medical College, Srinagar, increasing its annual intake to 250 from the 2026-27 academic session.
