KULGAM, Sept. 12 -- Kulgam Police on Friday arrested an absconder who had been evading arrest for the past five years in connection with a narcotics case.
The accused was identified as Mohd Ishaq Sheikh, son of Mohd Ramzan Sheikh, a resident of Okey, Kulgam. He was wanted in FIR No. 152/2021 registered at Police Station Kulgam under Sections 8/15 and 29 of the NDPS Act.
Police said a team from Police Station Kulgam, acting on specific information, launched efforts and successfully apprehended the absconder in Kulgam.
After completion of legal formalities, the accused was produced before the Sessions Court, Kulgam, which remanded him to Central Jail Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.
