SRINAGAR, Aug. 26 -- National Conference General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar on Wednesday criticised rival political parties and leaders, alleging that attempts to alter their political record through "political theatrics" would not succeed as people were aware of their past actions.
Addressing a party meeting at the National Conference headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha, Sagar said the people of Jammu and Kashmir had made significant sacrifices for democracy, education, healthcare and the development of democratic institutions.
He said it was important for the younger generation to remain aware of the region's political history and the struggles that shaped its social and political landscape.
