Srinagar, Feb. 27 -- While addressing the 21st convocation of the University of Kashmir here, Vice President C P Radhakrishnan expressed special happiness over three significant aspects of the convocation.

"The Minister for Higher Education is a woman, the Vice-Chancellor of the University is a woman, and a majority of gold medal recipients were women," VP said, describing this as a powerful reflection of women's empowerment and progress in Jammu & Kashmir.

While congratulating the students, the VP said the nation needs to let go of its colonial mindset to emerge as a global leader in innovations.
