SRINAGAR, May 8 -- A delegation of the Committee on Government Assurances of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Thursday visited the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly and held discussions with Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather on strengthening inter-state legislative cooperation and parliamentary coordination.

The delegation was led by Committee Chairman Harishankar Khatik and included members Gourav Singh Pardhi, Rajan Mandloi and Ramnivas Saha, besides senior officials.

During the interaction, the two sides exchanged insights on legislative functioning, committee procedures and mechanisms aimed at ensuring government accountability through implementation of assurances made on the floor of the House.
