Srinagar, Oct. 10 -- Higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir are likely to receive light snowfall on October 10 and again on October 13 and 14, while several areas may experience rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds, the Meteorological Centre Srinagar forecast on Friday.

The weather is expected to remain cloudy on October 10, with light rain at scattered to many places and light snowfall over higher reaches. Thunderstorms and gusty winds are also likely, according to the forecast.

Weather is likely to remain generally dry on October 11 and 12. Light rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds may occur at many places on October 13 and 14, while October 15 is expected to remain mostly dry, with brief spells of light rain possible at a few places.
