Man convicted in fake certificate recruitment fraud case
Srinagar, July 30 -- A court in Srinagar has convicted a Kupwara resident in a recruitment fraud case for allegedly securing appointment as a constable in the 9th Battalion of the Indian Reserve Police (IRP) using a forged academic certificate, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Kashmir, said on Wednesday.
According to the EOW, formerly known as the Crime Branch Kashmir, the court of the Special Mobile Magistrate, 13th Finance Commission/Railway Magistrate, Srinagar, convicted Nazir Ahmad Malik of Bunpora, Trehgam, Kupwara.
The agency said the accused had allegedly obtained the appointment by producing a fake Class 12 (10+2) qualification certificate. During the investigation, the certificate was seized and sent to the Jammu and Kashmir ...
