Srinagar, Sept. 2 -- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday instructed senior officials to maintain pressure on terror networks, enhance ground-level operational synergy to eliminate emerging threats, an official press release informed.

Emphasising that public trust is vital to the security apparatus, Sinha directed police officials to foster engagement with the public, designate specific hours for citizen interaction and grievance redressal.

"Police must continuously engage with the public. Every genuine grievance must be addressed with sensitivity and every investigation must be conducted with fairness, transparency and impartiality," he said.
