Srinagar, Aug. 10 -- The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of Kashmir during August to facilitate maintenance works on transmission and distribution lines.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, power supply to Handwara town, Marathgam, Kulangam, Kandi, Chogal, Sagipora and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm on August 10 and 13 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Arampora-Handwara Old line.

Power supply to Boatman Colony, Bemina JVC Hospital, Children Hospital, State Motor Garage, Hajj House, Forensic Science Laboratory, PC Depot, Qamarwari, Barthana and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm on August 11 owing to the s...
