SRINAGAR, Sept. 26 -- The Kashmir Police on Saturday organised a zonal-level conference at the Police Control Room (PCR), Kashmir, to review and strengthen the implementation of beat-level policing across the Valley.

The conference was chaired by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir, Sujit Kumar, and attended by Range Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs), Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) from all districts of Kashmir, SSP PCR Kashmir and other field officers.

Addressing the participants, the IGP emphasised the importance of an effective, accountable and technology-enabled beat system as a key component of preventive and community-oriented policing.
