Srinagar, April 24 -- Kashmir Police chief V K Birdi on Thursday chaired a coordination meeting with Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) for the annual Amarnath Yatra and stressed the need for meticulous planning, with particular emphasis on logistical coordination, route security, and robust emergency response mechanisms.

Birdi, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone, chaired a coordination meeting with officers of CAPFs at the PCR Kashmir here to strengthen security arrangements for the upcoming yatra that is scheduled to begin in the first week of July, a police spokesman said.
