SRINAGAR, Sept. 28 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police will organise the Kashmir Marathon - Run for Unity on October 1 in Srinagar, according to a promotional video released by the department.

The marathon will be held at the Police Golf Course and is aimed at promoting unity, fitness and sportsmanship, police said.

The promotional video features scenes from previous editions of the event, showing large-scale participation by runners, including athletes using wheelchairs, along routes alongside Dal Lake.

Titled "Kashmir Marathon 2026 - Run for Unity", the event is expected to attract participants from different sections of society.

Police said further details regarding registration and race categories would be announced separately.
