J&K govt considers July summer break for Kashmir schools amid heatwave
Srinagar, June 28 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Government is actively considering announcing summer vacations for schools across the Kashmir Division in view of the prevailing heatwave conditions, Health and Medical Education Minister Sakina Itoo said on Saturday.
Speaking to reporters, the Minister acknowledged the intense heat being experienced across the Valley and said the government is closely monitoring the weather situation before taking a final decision on the school calendar.
