J&K approves Rs.751.46 crore disaster recovery projects
Srinagar, July 7 -- The State Executive Committee (SEC), chaired by Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, on Monday approved disaster recovery projects worth Rs.751.46 crore under the Post Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA) framework to restore infrastructure damaged during the 2025 disasters across Jammu and Kashmir. The projects, covering more than 1,000 works, span key sectors including roads, power, education, health, agriculture and social welfare.
Chairing the second SEC meeting for 2026-27 under the Disaster Management framework, the Chief Secretary reviewed proposals aimed at accelerating post-disaster reconstruction, strengthening disaster preparedness and enhancing the Union Territory's emergency response capacity.
