Baramulla, June 13 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police has initiated a departmental inquiry into allegations of misconduct by police personnel at Police Station Kunzer following an incident involving an advocate.

According to a police statement, a team from Police Station Kunzer was on June 10 executing a status quo order issued by the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMIC), Tangmarg, in Dhobiwan village when legal and preventive proceedings were initiated in accordance with law.

Police said that an altercation subsequently took place inside Police Station Kunzer involving an advocate and police personnel, following which allegations were raised regarding the conduct of the officers concerned.
