IICT develops indigenous design software for Kashmir crafts
Srinagar, Oct. 10 -- The Indian Institute of Carpet Technology (IICT), Srinagar, has developed an indigenous design software, DesignNweave, to support digital design development for carpets, Kani shawls and other handicraft and handloom products of Jammu and Kashmir.
The software has been developed after more than four years of research and development in collaboration with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Srinagar, under the aegis of the Directorate of Handicrafts and Handloom, Kashmir.
