Human Aid Society hands over new house in Uri, launches livelihood initiative for women
Uri, June 14 -- Human Aid Society (HAS) organised a humanitarian outreach programme in the border villages of Baghroto and Busgran in Uri, during which it handed over a newly constructed house to a vulnerable family, inaugurated livelihood-based poultry units for women and released its Annual Report 2025-26.
The programme was attended by K M Nithin Kuttappa, Commander of the 12 Infantry Brigade, as the chief guest.
At the outset, Aiman Naseer, an intern from Manipal University, presented an overview of the organisation's humanitarian interventions in Uri during the past year, highlighting rehabilitation efforts undertaken for families affected by Operation Sindoor and other development initiatives in border areas.
