SRINAGAR, Aug. 6 -- Police in Anantnag have secured conviction of a hotel manager in a case pertaining to violation of mandatory reporting requirements concerning foreign nationals.
The Court of the Additional Mobile Magistrate, while deciding FIR No. 18/2026 under Sections 8 & 23(b) of the Immigration & Foreigners Act, 2025, registered at Police Station Pahalgam, convicted Mohan Lal, son of Darsa Raam, resident of Chitna, Baderwah, Manager of Hotel Misty Mountain, Movera.
The accused was convicted for failing to upload the mandatory Form C in respect of two Thai nationals who had stayed at the hotel during 01-02 December.
The court imposed a fine of Rs.50,000 along with one day's imprisonment upon the convict.
