Hot, humid weather to persist in J&K till Sept 10; rain likely on Aug 31, Sept 1
Srinagar, Aug. 30 -- Jammu and Kashmir is likely to witness generally hot and humid weather over the next 10 days, with intermittent rain and thundershowers expected at several places and a possibility of heavy showers in parts of the Jammu division, according to the Meteorological Department.
The weather office said scattered rain and thundershowers are expected during the early morning and afternoon hours on August 30.
A more active weather spell is forecast on August 31 and September 1, when light to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely at many places across the Union Territory. A few districts in the Jammu region may also receive brief intense or heavy showers.
