SRINAGAR, Sept. 24 -- The Jammu and Kashmir government has undertaken restoration and maintenance works on roads damaged by landslides, floods and other natural causes to ensure traffic connectivity, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary informed the Legislative Assembly on Thursday.

Replying to a Calling Attention Motion moved by MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia during the Autumn Session, Choudhary said the government was closely monitoring the condition of affected roads through field agencies and had sanctioned permanent restoration works at several locations.

He said restoration works worth Rs.47.99 lakh on the 11-km Nagulta-Razar Part-I road, completed in January 2024, were about 75 per cent complete.
