Srinagar, April 1 -- The government on Tuesday dismissed as misleading the claims circulating on social media regarding the alleged paper leak in the Fire Services recruitment examination.

In a clarification, the authorities said certain social media platforms, particularly a handle named "J&K Services Selection Board Aspirants", were claiming that the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) had confirmed a paper leak and that action had been taken against only 106 candidates.

The government said these claims were not based on officially established facts.

"It is hereby clarified that the ACB has not confirmed any paper leak at this stage. The matter is presently under investigation and no final conclusions have been drawn by the competent author...
